Cecchetti ballet classes
Plié teaches the Cecchetti method of classical ballet, from preschool combo classes right through to advanced students. Classes run at all four of our studios: Cromer, Warriewood, St Ives and North Sydney.
Ballet is a poised, disciplined style that builds awareness of posture, alignment and placement. It's also the base of technique for every other style of dance, which is why so many of our jazz, lyrical and musical theatre students take ballet too. Our teachers bring the latest technical training ideas into a traditional art form, so classes feel modern and fun for kids.
Who teaches it
Principal Vicki Clare-Geluk is dual qualified in ballet, one of only a few teachers in Sydney to hold both RAD and Cecchetti qualifications. All our ballet staff are fully qualified.
Cecchetti exams
Our students do very well in their Cecchetti exams, and many have achieved perfect scores. To be considered for exams, students attend at least two ballet classes a week from Grade 1, and three a week from Grade 6. More about exams and eisteddfods.

Questions parents ask
What age can my child start ballet?
Pre-schoolers start with ballet in our Tinies combo classes, which mix ballet with jazz and tap. Ballet as its own class starts from Kindy.
Do you teach RAD or Cecchetti?
We teach the Cecchetti syllabus and enter students in Cecchetti exams.
Can we try a class before enrolling?
Yes, and your first trial class is free. Please fill in a short form at the front office before the class. Parents are invited to watch the first lesson.
